Unable to install SP1 - "An object class violation occurred"
Hi everybody! I tried to install SP1 on our existing Exchange Server 2007 and can't find the problem why it stops. We have 2 DCs, a single domain and in general nothing special here. Error message from setup: Organization PreparationFailed Error:Active Directory operation failed on dc01.domain.info. This error is not retriable. Additional information: An attempt was made to modify an object to include an attribute that is not legal for its class.Active directory response: 0000207D: UpdErr: DSID-03150F9C, problem 6002 (OBJ_CLASS_VIOLATION), data 0An object class violation occurred. Log file: 12:26:39.855: Starting Collecting Data phase.12:26:41.443: Completed Collecting Data phase.12:26:41.458: Error (Rule name 'PreReq_fPassiveUninstallNoCMSPresentKey' referenced by rule 'PreReq_fPassiveUninstallNoCMSPresent' in input file is not defined) in format of rules in configuration file.12:26:41.487: Starting Postprocessing Rules phase.12:26:41.502: Completed Postprocessing Rules phase. Hi, please try to run the below cmdlt to prepare AD for Exchange sp1. -- setup.com /prepareAD After that, please try to run the below cmdlt to upgrade to Exchange sp1.(Note: DC1 should be the dc name of your first dc,DC2 should be the other one.) -- setup.com /m:upgrade-- setup.com /m:upgrade /dcC1-- setup.com /m:upgrade /dcC2 After that, Please try to run Microsoft Exchange Best Practices Analyze to do a health check, try to find any error related to the schema or Organization.
